The update also introduces tabs in different first-party applications like Mail, Calendar, OneNote, MSN Newsworthiness, File Explorer and Microsoft Edge, allowing users to easily access relevant World Wide Web pages, documents, or files inside the same window. Microsoft has improved upon the feature since its initial unfreeze and has listed the following changes:

  • Suffer for desktop (Win32) apps. Sets now supports Indian file Explorer, Notepad, Prompt, and PowerShell.
  • Power to set in motion apps from the new tab page by typing in the app list.
  • UWP apps are launched in the same window replacing the new tab page.
  • Tab UI in Sets forthwith shows icons including website favicons and app icons.
  • While restoring projects Windows 10 will non cue users to restitute related apps and webpages. The Timeline testament show when a project has multiple activites associated with it.

The Windows Experience Blog announcing the release also lists a couple of handy keyboard shortcuts users can test while testing Sets:

  • Ctrl+Advance+Tab – switch to next tab.
  • Ctrl+Win+Shift+Tab – flip to previous tab.
  • Ctrl+Win+T – open a new tab.
  • Ctrl+Come through+W – close current tab.

The blog post also highlights additional features for Sets that the company is presently working on:

  • Tab trail-and-drop does non work for re-ordering tabs. Users can't drag a tab to sum another window.
  • When launching a supported desktop (Win32) app from a tabbed window, it launched a new window instead of auto-grouping to the existing windowpane.
  • Users might notice some flashes patc switching between tabs inside a Set.
  • If the display scaling is higher than 100%, using touch to interact with the Sets title bar North Korean won't sour.

The company is working to muddle the aforementioned issues and is due to release them in later RS5 updates. Users also have the ability to enable or disenable Sets from Setting>System>Multitasking.
